Brooks Koepka won his third career PGA Championship and fifth major championship at nine under, becoming the 20th player to win five majors in the stroke-play era. He also became the first golfer to win a major golf championship as a member of LIV Golf, joining Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the only players to do so.
The PGA Championship 2023 took place at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, which has hosted six major tournaments and three PGA Championships. The course has undergone several modifications, potentially introducing unpredictable elements. The tournament, which took place in 2013, was won by Justin Thomas and awarded a prize of $15 million.

Oak Hill Country Club, which hosted six major championships, underwent a significant renovation in 2019, including tree removal and bentgrass green reconstruction. The old par-3 sixth hole was removed, and the fifth, sixth, and 15th holes were completely redesigned.
