DD Sports to provide exclusive coverage of Asian Women's Handball Championship 2024

The Asian Women’s Handball Championship 2024 will be held from December 3 to 10.

India is set to make history by hosting the 20th Asian Women’s Handball Championship for the first time, from December 3 to 10 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. This prestigious tournament will feature some of Asia’s top teams, including 16-time champion South Korea, Japan, China, and Kazakhstan, competing for continental glory and qualification to the 2025 IHF World Women’s Handball Championship in Germany and the Netherlands.

The World Handball League (WHL) aims to establish handball as a mainstream sport in India through its partnership with Doordarshan. By broadcasting the championship on Doordarshan’s extensive network, WHL seeks to introduce the sport to millions of viewers across the country.

This collaboration will provide exclusive content, sparking interest and building a new community of enthusiasts in India. DD Broadcast will include highlights aired at prime time and live coverage on finals day. Additionally, the matches will be streamed live on SportCast India’s YouTube channel.
