Asian Handball Championship 2026: Full schedule, results, match timings, and live-streaming details

A total of 15 teams are competing in the Asian Men’s Handball Championship 2026.
The Asian Handball Championship 2026 will take place from January 15 to 29. The Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex in Kuwait will serve as the host to all games of the competition.
A total of 15 teams will participate in the biennial continental event. Qatar, South Korea and Oman constitute Group A, while Bahrain, Iraq, China, and Jordan form Group B.
India are placed in Group C along with hosts, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Australia constitute Part D.
With a single round-robin format in place, all teams will play once against other teams in their respective group. Then, the top two teams from each group (eight teams) will advance to the main round and will be divided into two groups.
Then, the top two teams from each group of the main round will qualify for the semifinal, set to be played on January 27. The winners of both games will lock horns in the final on January 29.
The tournament will also serve as the qualification pathway for the 2027 World Men’s Handball Championship in Germany. The top four teams will directly qualify for the marquee event.
The last edition in 2024 witnessed Qatar winning their sixth title after beating Japan 30-24 in the final. Meanwhile, South Korea are the most successful team in the Asian Handball Championship with nine titles.
