The much-awaited Hockey World Cup 2023 is set to kick-off in India on January 13 with 16 teams from around the world fighting for the grandest prize in the field of hockey. But, before action behind on the field, the tournament will officially kick-off with a grand opening ceremony at the Barbati Stadium in Cuttack on Wednesday (January 11).

Dubbed the "Celebrations", the Hockey World Cup 2023 opening ceremony will showcase India's rich culture and advancements along with musical and dance performances from top celebrities from around the country. From Bollywood stars, Ranveer Singh and Disha Patani to the internationally acclaimed K-pop band BLACKSWAN, featuring Odisha’s very own Shreya Lenka, some top stars are expected to perform in a packed 40,000-capacity stadium.
