As many as two Indian players feature in this list.
The FIH Men's Hockey Pro League 2022-23 is the fourth edition of the prestigious tournament, a men's national team field hockey championship. The tournament will run from October 2022 to July 2023. It is a relatively new tournament in the field hockey world, and the competition's first season was held in 2019. The Pro League is a qualifying tournament for field hockey's two major tournaments, the World Cup and the Olympics.
Both Indian men's and women's team opted out of the prestigious league during its inaugural edition in 2019 due to several reasons. Nine men's and women's teams compete in a round robin format with home and away matches, played from October to June, with the top team at end of group stages winning the league. Since the last edition, the bottom team at the end of the season will be relegated and will be replaced by the winner of the men's FIH Nations Cup.
Harmanpreet Singh on 27th May, 2023 became the highest goal scorer in men's FIH pro league scoring 35 goals overall. He achieved the landmark after scoring a penalty corner against Great Britain (European tour). The Indian captain is also the highest goal-scorer of the current edition (13 goals) with Selvam Karthi the other Indian following him with 5 goals.
