Men's Junior Asia Cup 2023 will be the 10th edition of the tournament. The championship will run from 23 May 2023 till 01 June 2023. The previous edition of the competition didn't happen in 2021 due to the COVID pandemic restrictions. India and Pakistan have each won three titles each, the joint-most in the history of the Men's Junior Asia Cup.

India's history in the tournament
The tournament began in 1988, and only four nations have won till date. Pakistan and India have won it thrice, while Malaysia and South Korea won it only once. India didn't win the tournament until 2004 and, since then, has won it thrice in four editions that happened.
Apart from winning it thrice, India has been runner-up twice and finished third twice. India, alongside Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, and South Korea, is the only country to participate in every edition of the tournament.
Men's Junior Asia Cup 2023
India will participate along with nine other nations in the 2023 edition of the Men's Junior Asia Cup. The tournament is scheduled to take place from 23 May to 1 June 2023 in Salalah, Oman. It will serve as the qualifier for the Asian nations, with the top four playing in the FIH Men's Junior World Cup 2023.

Salalah in Oman will be hosting the tournament and Salalah Sports Complex is the venue for the tournament.

10 teams, one short of the record number, will participate in the upcoming Men's Junior Asia Cup 2023 in Salalah, Oman. They are - India, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, South Korea, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Oman, Thailand and Uzbekistan.

The five teams of a pool will play each other once, and the two teams with the most points from both pools advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. The rest of the teams will play each other in the classification rounds.
