Men's Hockey team updated full schedule for Paris Olympics 2024: Heavyweights India, Belgium, Australia in same group

The Indian men’s hockey team will kickstart their campaign against New Zealand on July 27.

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has released the men’s and women’s hockey schedule for the Paris Olympics 2024. The Hockey events for Paris are scheduled from July 27 to August 9. The tournament will be played in the Yves Du Manoir stadium in Colombes, Paris. 12 teams each in the men’s and women’s divisions will be competing with each other for the gold medal.

Belgium, who are the defending champions, will look to defend their gold medal at the Paris. India, on the other hand, will want to better the colour of their medal at Paris. The Indian men’s hockey team will kickstart their campaign on July 27 against New Zealand. The opening match for the men’s hockey events will be against Great Britain and Spain while the host nation France will commence their campaign against Germany on 27 July.

Groups

12 teams are divided into two groups of six teams each. Teams will play each other once and then the top four in each group will advance to the quarterfinals.

Pool A – Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, France, South Africa

Pool B – Belgium, India, Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, Ireland
