The FIH Hockey5s will be a two day event and will start on June 4th and end that is June 5th. It will see two teams playing against each other with four field players and a goalkeeper.

On Day 1 the Indian men's hockey team take on Switzerland and Pakistan while the women face Uruguay and Poland.

Moreover the playing area is also smaller compared to a standard hockey field. It is 55m long and 41.70m wide. The idea behind the Hockey5s it is to make the game more exhilarating. In addition the players can take a shot from anywhere on the pitch. Moreover the penalty corners and penalty strokes have also been nullified. In turn we will get to witness a "challenge". It is similar to the one on one method used in a penalty shootout.

On one hand the women's team will go up against the likes of Uruguay, Poland, South Africa and Switzerland.
