After an incredibly dominant run in the last two matches of the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2025, the Indian team is now set to face Switzerland on Tuesday, December 2, at the Madurai International Hockey Stadium.
The Blue Colts opened their campaign in style by hammering Chile with 7-0 win. They then shifted to an even higher gear, delivering a stunning 17-0 demolition of Oman.
The goal-fest featured hat-tricks from three players – Arshdeep Singh, Manmeet Singh, and Dilraj Singh. Among them, Dilraj emerged as the top scorer with four goals, while Arshdeep and Manmeet netted three each. Ajeet Yadav and Ingalemba Luwan Thouraojam bagged braces.
With back-to-back wins, India now lead Pool B with 6 points, level with Switzerland but ahead on goal difference.
Despite being debutants in the tournament Switzerland’s journey started with two victories of their own, placing them second in the pool. They defeated Oman 4-0 in the opener and then edged past Chile 3-2 to continue the winning momentum.
