India A tour of China 2025 will feature five-match series against Gansu Hockey Team in Changzhou.

The India A men’s hockey team is scheduled to play a five-match tour against a local club in Jiangsu province, Changzhou City, China, from October 12 onwards.

Former Indian team striker Shivendra Singh has been named as the head coach, while defender and drag flicker Sanjay will lead the side.

The Indian side will play five match against the Gansu Hockey Team, with all matches scheduled to take place at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium.

India A team coach Shivendra Singh was quoted as saying before the team’s departure to China: “We are looking forward to being in Hangzhou and gaining good experience. This squad has been training together for a past few weeks and has gelled well as a unit. They are now eager to gain some match experience.”

Indian senior men’s hockey team Chief Coach Craig Fulton said that the tour is part of their plans to add more talented players to the senior team, considering they have a busy 2026 coming.

Amandeep Lakra, Sanjay, Uttam Singh, and Selvam Karthi are some of the known faces in the India A squad for the five-match tour in China.

Speaking about the China tour, Chief Coach Craig Fulton said, “This is part of our plans to expand the talent pool for the Senior Men’s Team by providing the right amount of experience and exposure for the players in the India ‘A’ squad particularly ahead of a very busy year in 2026.

We will be closely monitoring the progress of the players in this squad and see how well they adapt to pressure situations and perform.”

The India A team’s tour of China will commence on Sunday, October 12, with five matches scheduled against Gansu at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium.
