This will be the 96th edition of the All India MCC-Murugappa Gold Cup Hockey Tournament 2025.

The upcoming edition of the All India MCC-Murugappa Gold Cup Hockey Tournament 2025 will take place from July 10 to 20 at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai. The Malaysian Junior National team will compete in the 96th edition, marking the first instance of an international team competing in the tournament.

A total of teams, drawn into two groups of five teams each, will compete for the prestigious trophy.

Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB), Indian Army, Hockey Maharashtra, Hockey Tamil Nadu, and NCOE Bhopal are drawn in Pool A. Meanwhile, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), the Malaysian Junior National Hockey Team, the Indian Navy, Hockey Karnataka, and the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) are pitted in Pool B.

What is the format of the tournament?

The All India MCC-Murugappa Gold Cup Hockey Tournament 2025 follows a single round-robin format. Each team plays four group stage matches, once against the other teams in the group stage. The top two teams from both Pool A and B will play the semi-final, followed by the final on July 20.
