Four teams are competing at Women’s Hockey India League 2025-2026.
The Women’s Hockey India League is all set to commence on Sunday, December 28, and conclude on Friday, January 10. Over the period, 13 matches are to be played at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, Ranchi.
In the inaugural edition, Odisha Warriors clinched the title, outclassing JSW Soorma Hockey Club in a 2-1 game. The tournament features four teams (Ranchi Royals, JSW Soorma Hockey Club, Delhi SG Pipers, and Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers) competing in a round-robin format with each side playing a total of six games. Odisha Warriors pulled out of the tournament, and as a replacement, Ranchi Royals have been added.
The opening match will witness the hosts, Ranchi Royals, facing Delhi SG Pipers, while JSW Soorma Hockey Club will begin their campaign against Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers on Monday, looking to continue their form from the previous edition, having finished as table toppers.
The tournament shall feature the Indian captain, Salima Tete, Nikki Pradhan, Navneet Kaur, Jyoti Chhatri, Sarah Robertson, Maria Jose Granatto, and Vandana Katariya, all adding grace and intense fast-paced action throughout the season.
