The Indian women’s hockey team will take on South Korea in the women’s hockey semi-final at the Asian Games 2026 at Kawasaki Juko Stadium on Wednesday, September 30. India, having topped Pool B with a 100% record, are looking to end their 44-year wait for Asian Games women’s hockey gold.
India remain unbeaten at the Aichi-Nagoya Games, having won all five of their Pool B matches. The world No. 8 team opened their campaign with a 19-0 win against Uzbekistan. They followed this with a 17-1 victory against Indonesia and a 20-1 win against Thailand.
The Women in Blue then secured a hard-fought 3-1 win against hosts Japan. They then finished the pool stage with a 7-0 win against Singapore, securing the top spot in Pool B with 15 points.
India have scored 66 goals in the pool stage. Deepika has been key for her side, leading the tournament scoring charts with 21 goals in five matches. Navneet is second with 10 goals, and the pair will lead the charge against South Korea.
Team Korea finished second in Pool A with 12 points, losing just one match against China. A 2-1 win against Malaysia secured their place in the semi-final. Midfielder Seungae Park, who has scored eight goals in the tournament, will be key for her team.
