Indian Sports Calendar November 2024: Major Events to look forward to in last week

The Badminton Caravan is coming to India with three tournaments.

The final week of November will see India hosting two international events in the Indian sports calendar. The first one is the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers in Chennai. India will also host a Super 300 badminton tournament in Lucknow, UP. Top Indian players are participating and will look to win the title.

The junior hockey and Kabaddi players will be in action as well. The Indian junior men’s hockey team will look to defend their Junior Asia Cup title at Muscat while the table tennis Youth team will participate in the ITTF Mixed Team World Youth Championships and will look to win medals for the country. Eyes will be on Ankur and Suhana.

As far as Kabaddi is concerned, the league has come to the halfway mark and the second half will be interesting as the playoff race is coming closer. In Tennis, Rohan Bopanna will represent India in the ATP 1000 tournament. We also have golf action in which female Indian golfers will complete in Spain.

Major events to follow in November Week 4 in Indian sports calendar

Badminton

The Indian leg will begin this week. A BWF Super 300 tournament will take place in Lucknow, India. Many top Indian players are participating in the tournament and will aim to win the title.

  • November 26-1 December: Syed Modi International (Super 300)

Basketball

After losing the first three matches in Window 1 of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers, the Indian men’s basketball team will look to do well against Qatar and Kazakhstan in Chennai. Playing at home, the Indian cagers will look to register their first win of the tournament

  • November 22-25: FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers Window 2

Golf

Aditi Ashok, Diksha Dagar, Pranavi Urs, and Tvesha Malik will play in the tournament in Spain. They will look for a good tournament and aim for a top-20 finish.

  • November 28-1 December: Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open de Espana

Hockey

The second assignment for coach PR Sreejesh will be the Men’s Junior Asia Cup. After winning bronze at the Sultan of Johar Cup, the Indian junior men’s hockey team will look to defend their title in the Asia Cup. The top six teams will qualify for the 2025 FIH Junior World Cup.

  • November 26-4 December: Men’s Junior Asia Cup, Muscat

Kabaddi

Season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League will enter its seventh week.

  • October 18 onwards: Pro Kabaddi League (Ongoing)

Table Tennis

The Indian juniors will be playing in the World Youth Championships. Eyes will be on Ankur and Suhana who will lead the charge for India.

  • November 22-29: ITTF World Youth Championships

Track Cycling

Esow and Ronaldo will participate in the UCL Track Champions League season 3 this week.

  • November 23-30: UCI Track Champions League Round 1, 2 & 3
