PKL 9 Day 14 Live Updates: Haryana Vs Gujarat Giants

U Mumba vs Bengaluru Bulls

Bengaluru Bulls are back to winning ways after defeating Tamil Thalaivas (45-28) in the last Pro Kabaddi League PKL 9 encounter. Bharat played a major role in the raiding scoring a super 10. The Tamil Thalaivas defenders were left clueless when Bharat raided showing how the young lad has grown successfully from the last season. Bengaluru Bulls will next play U Mumba in PKL 9.

U Mumba won the last encounter against Haryana Steelers (32-31) with a one-point margin. Guman Singh and Surinder Singh were the stars for the western side scoring nine raid points and six tackle points respectively. With this win, U Mumba has won three matches this season and is currently placed fourth in the points table.

Head to Head

Bengaluru Bulls and U Mumba have faced each other in 16 matches in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which, Bengaluru Bulls have won 4 whereas U Mumba has come out victorious on 12 other occasions.

Key to Success

Bengaluru Bulls look like a complete outfit with both their defence and attack sections contributing in all the matches. Saurabh Nandal and Mahendra Singh have stood tall after being retained from the last season.

Surinder Singh has got back to form and scored a high in the last match against Haryana Steelers. The unsuccessful tackle rates have reduced significantly in Pro Kabaddi season 9 compared to the previous seasons.

Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Telugu Titans

Telugu Titans have not had a good start to Pro Kabaddi League PKL season 9 losing four out of the five matches played so far. The side has the most experienced players in PKL’s history but isn't able to perform on the matchday. In the last game against Puneri Paltan, Telugu Titans were in a winning position but a silly mistake from Monu Goyat cost them the match which has been the case throughout the season. Telugu Titans will play Jaipur Pink Panthers in their next PKL 9 game.

Jaipur Pink Panthers have won four out of the five matches and are looking good in all the departments with a combination of youth and experience. Jaipur in the last match beat Bengal Warriors comfortably by a 15-point margin showing full dominance. They currently occupy the second spot on the points table behind Dabang Delhi KC.

Jaipur Pink Panthers and Telugu Titans have faced each other in 15 matches in the Pro Kabaddi League out of which Jaipur Pink Panthers have won 6 whereas Telugu Titans have come out victorious on 8 occasions with one match ending in a tie.

Key to Success

Defenders from the Telugu Titans must step up with five matches completed. The matches are coming thick and fast with not much time left to rectify the mistake. Ravinder Pahal had been appointed the captain before the start of the league has been very poor and was not in the starting 7 in the previous match. Pahal with experience can bounce back and put in a good performance against Jaipur.

Jaipur Pink Panthers overall have performed well in both the raiding and defence sections. Sahul Kumar in the right corner has been off-colour putting in many unsuccessful tackles. Ajith and Rahul have been providing good support to Arjun Deshwal and should look to continue the same against Telugu Titans.

Haryana Steelers vs Gujarat Giants

Gujarat Giants won a high-scoring encounter against UP Yoddhas on the back of impressive performances from their raiders in PKL 9. While Haryana Steelers played a close encounter against U Mumba on Friday where they lost by just a point, 32-31. The Giants currently sit sixth on the points table and they would be looking to win this game to further boost their position in the top 6. While the Steelers are in the bottom half of the table.

Gujarat Giants and Haryana Steelers have met ten times in Pro Kabaddi. Gujarat Giants have won three of these ten games, while Haryana Steelers have won six of them. One match ended in a tie.

Key to success

Haryana Steelers' defence was lacklustre in their last game against U Mumba so they would hope to get it right against the Giants. Nitin Rawal has been the stand-out performer in defence while Jaideep who had a great last season has struggled for consistency in PKL season 9, so Manpreet Singh would hope that his defence can have a good game.

For the Giants, it is simple, if both Chandran Ranjith and HS Rakesh both perform then they should be able to win the game.
