The raider is close to fully recovering from a serious ankle injury.

Abhishek Singh’s absence from the Telugu Titans lineup in PKL 9 is due to an ankle fracture. The star raider is an important part of the Pro Kabaddi League outfit for the 2022-23 season. As it stands, the plaster cast on the injured ankle has been removed and the player will now resume his rehab before fully recovering.

The fans of Telugu Titans are running short on patience and want to see the raider back in action for their team as soon as possible. Thankfully, his return is near and that will certainly boost the squad’s morale, thereby improving the chances of securing points in the ongoing PKL 9 campaign.

Struggling Titans

Telugu Titans are struggling to find form in the ninth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. In the first six matches, they have secured seven points which include only one victory and five defeats. This puts them at the bottom of the league standings and the desperation to see the team win games is clear amongst the fanbase. The expectations are high this year after a disappointing last season where the team finished at the bottom of the points table.

Abhishek Singh’s return could give the team a huge boost. His raiding capabilities are well known in the kabaddi community. The former U-Mumba player was picked by Telugu Titans during the PKL 9 auction. He has over 58 appearances in the league with 395 total points to his name. Furthermore, Singh has 19 Super 10s in the PKL, which makes him a dangerous operator.

Telugu Titans need his services as soon as possible. Abhishek Singh’s pace and smartness make him a difficult raider to contain. On his day, he can single-handedly make a difference. The rehab process might take some time but it is imperative that the player should fully recover from the ankle fracture before taking the floor for the team.
