PKL 9: Bengaluru Bulls, Jaipur Pink Panthers will contest for second spot in table

Bharat shall be the player to watch out for in the match.

Bengaluru Bulls won the last encounter against Dabang Delhi KC after trailing by more than ten points in the first half. Bharat Hooda after a poor start scored 23 raid points at the end scoring points in all the raids in the last eight minutes of the match. The defence led by Sourabh Nandal was below par with the raiders scoring majority of the points.

Jaipur Pink Panthers decimated Telugu Titans beating the host by a 20-point margin (48-28). Arjun Deshwal and Ankush were the star performers scoring 18 raid points and six points respectively. The winner between these two teams will go to the 2nd spot in the points table.

With the league in the fag end, Vikash Kandola has got back to form at the right time but needs to be consistent. Jaipur has one of the best defence in the league and Vikash will have his task cut out.

Ankush one of the top most raider in season 9 will be against Bharat Hooda the strike raider. The main aim of Ankush shall be to keep Bharat quiet for the entire match. In the past, Bharat has been silent in the first half but caught up pace in the second which the Jaipur franchise should be aware of.

Key to Sucess

The defence of the Bengaluru Bulls needs to step up with only a few games left ahead of the playoffs. Sourabh Nandal in particular has had a few off games and is the lead defender for the franchise. If Bengaluru Bulls get rid of Arjun Deshwal then will have the upper hand throughout the match.

The secondary raiding duo of Ajith Kumar and Rahul Chaudhari needs a score to give Arjun Deshwal support in raiding. Both Rohit and Ajith have been inconsistent throughout with only Arjun Deshwal scoring raid points. If Bengaluru Bulls' defence steps up against Arjun then Jaipur will find it hard to win.
