The Bengal Warriors defender also recalled some of his top moments over the years.

Surender Nada was featured as a guest expert for the Khel Now TV Youtube channel during the Khel Kabaddi Bol Kabaddi show. He shared many opinions regarding PKL season 9. Mohit Chillar and Rohit Baliyan were the other two experts along with Surender Nada.

Nada said that he is looking forward to playing the next Senior Nationals and also featuring in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 10.

Surender Nada raises a question on Bengal warriors signing so many corners defenders

Surender Nada could only feature in quite a few matches in season 9 as Girish Ernak was playing the left-corner role. Nada iterates that ”If good players do not get opportunities to play and sit as a substitute then it is of no use to players and as well as the team.

"Teams need to buy limited resources rather than stacking up players for a single position. The player at the end of the league needs to get good game time and exposure to perform well for the next season.”

Secret behind Ankle hold

"Every player has his own strength. Few may be good in thigh hold and I particularly specialized in the ankle hold. To specialize in any particular skill you need to practise the skill 50 to 100 times a day and make use of that in the competition to see your progress. Also, I never see the raider's leg movement to make the ankle hold rather look at the raider's eye (eye contact) and then go for the ankle hold.

2016 World Cup Super tackle

"Mohit Chillar didn't feature in the starting 7 but when we were down to two players on the mat Mohit Chillar was brought in and then our combo clicked and won a crucial point. It was a memorable World Cup win for us as none of Anup Kumar, and Ajay Thakur slept overnight celebrating the victory.

Thoughts about Ankush Rathee

"He is an excellent find for the season and if he continues to play in a similar fashion then he might feature in the Indian team very soon. Mohit Chillar added, ”Ankush can become the next Surender Nada who has got two to three skills and can make use of them in any situation”.

Best cover Jodi

According to Surender Nada, there are two best cover combo’s Sombir Shekahar-Manjeet Chillar and Parvesh Bainswal-Sunil Kumar. Both these cover combos have been deadly during their respective times.
