Exclusive: Anup Kumar believes Pardeep Narwal should not be a part of Indian Kabaddi team for Asian Games

However, recently, Pardeep Narwal has been struggling with his form, and his speed doesn’t seem to be the same as before. This might be the reason why he is not regularly part of the Indian senior team. The Asian Games are approaching, and all players are gearing up for it, including Pardeep Narwal, who is also part of the camp. Former captain of Team India, Anup Kumar, believes that Pardeep Narwal will not be selected for the Asian Games team.

In an exclusive interview, Anup Kumar stated that it is quite difficult for Pardeep Narwal to be selected for the Asian Games because he is not deserving of it. He mentioned a significant reason behind this and said, “In my opinion, Pardeep Narwal won’t be a part of the Asian Games team because he doesn’t deserve it. Five raiders from our team will go to the Asian Games, and Pardeep Narwal’s name won’t be among them. I don’t think Pardeep Narwal will play in the Asian Games.”

‘Dubki King’ was also excluded from the Asian Kabaddi Championship squad

Let me tell you that recently, Pardeep Narwal was not included in the Indian team for the Asian Kabaddi Championship. This was the first instance since 2016 when he was not part of the Indian team. Before this, he had been a part of the Indian team in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup, 2017 Asian Kabaddi Championship, 2018 Dubai Kabaddi Master, 2018 Asian Games, and 2019 South Asian Games. His performance in the PKL has also not been as good in the past few seasons, which may be the reason why veteran players like Anup Kumar have made such significant statements about him.
