PKL 10: Jaipur Pink Panthers retain young sensation Ankush Rathee

The defender had the most tackle points in the last edition of the tournament.

Jaipur Pink Panthers have announced the retention of last season’s star debutant Ankush Rathee who impressed everyone with his performance in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). 

After remarkable performances last season, the Panthers are looking towards maintaining the winning momentum by making a strong team. The champions have been an unstoppable force in PKL from the beginning. 

The Record Breaker

Rathee was the orange sleeve holder with the most tackle points-89 tackle points and nine 5’s in the 24 games he played in PKL 9. He carried an authoritative aura throughout the season that only a few players in that edition league possessed. The young player broke the record of being the most tackle points holder by a debutant. 

Showcasing Exemplary Skills 

The young Panther had showcased his exemplary skills while acting at the corner. His presence at the left corner assured to hunt many of the right raiders. He carried away a total of five Super tackles for the Panthers in the last season. 

Ankush led the Indian flag to the title 

This year, Rathee also led the Junior Indian Kabaddi Team to the champions of the Junior World Kabaddi Championship that concluded on 4th March 2023. He assured as captain that the young brigade remained unbeaten right from get to go at the Indian team’s first appearance in this championship. 

As the highly anticipated tenth season of PKL draws near, the excitement is also piling its way up. The Panthers have also retained Abhishek KS rattling a far good defense side for the team. Abhishek comes with an impressive record of 75 tackle points. All eyes would be on his defending tactics for this new edition of PKL 2023 and what all these defensive sides could bring for the Jaipur Pink Panthers.

The tenth season of the PKL Auction is scheduled from 9th September to 10th September.
