The competition between both teams was quite thrilling.

The Indian women's kabaddi team has made history at the Asian Games 2023. Team India secured the gold medal by defeating Chinese Taipei in the final match. Team India couldn't win a gold medal in the previous Asian Games, but this time, they made up for it. The match against Chinese Taipei was intense, and India secured the victory in the final moments.

Pooja Hathwala opened the team's account with a bonus point in the very first raid. Following that, Pushpa Rana earned a touch point. On the other hand, Chinese Taipei opened their account through a super raid. The initial minutes of the match between both teams were closely contested, and India's defense struggled to perform at its best. After 10 minutes, India took its first tackle point in the red and blue zone. Shortly after, Pooja Hathwala secured a super raid, giving India the lead. However, in the first half, Indian raiders relied heavily on bonus points, and the defense earned only two tackle points. The score remained 14-9 in favor of India at the end of the first half.

Defensive Errors by India

In the beginning of the second half, the Indian team showed significant improvement in defense and tackled Chinese Taipei's raider in the first raid itself. However, Chinese Taipei's raider made a strong comeback by tackling Pushpa Rana with a super tackle.

Following this, India made defensive errors, and Chinese Taipei got an opportunity to come back. Chinese Taipei managed to take the lead by getting an all-out in the 25th minute. Team India faced immense pressure, and several players were declared out when attempting tackles, allowing Chinese Taipei to take the lead. However, the score was tied at 23-23 until the 28th minute, and it was uncertain which team would emerge victorious. Afterward, the Indian team secured a crucial point in their last raid to claim the gold medal.
