After their maiden play-off finish in season 9, Tamil Thalaivas will look to build the momentum in PKL 10. Many rated their performance as equal to a title-winning campaign. Thalaivas had finished 11th in season 8. They built their team for the 2022 season around Pawan Sehrawat. But an injury in the first game ruled him out of the season. To make matters worse, their coach J. Uday Kumar resigned due to personal reasons.

Former India coach Ashan Kumar took over and there was no turning back as the boys from the south just went north in the points table. Their defense was one of the talking points with Sagar, Sahil, Mohit, and M Abhishek proving tough for every raider from the opposition. The boys in yellow will look to repeat the same as they have retained that core and added Iran’s Amirhossein Bastami and Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi. The raiding work will be handled by young Narender and Himanshu. Ajinjya Pawar will aim to produce many magical moments, especially in do-or-die raids.

Dabang Delhi KC was one of the teams that did extremely well in the auction. Naveen Kumar Goyat was their primary torch-bearer and was retained. The auction saw them buy the likes of Vishal Bharadwaj, Sunil, and Balasaheb Jadhav which will be their defensive wall in PKL 10.

The season 8 champions also bought back Ashu Malik who has been part of their previous two campaigns. They spent big bucks on the 21-year-old and hoping for a better season than he had in 2022. Delhi will have a tough challenge against Tamil Thalaivas but their experienced defense will look to stop the young raiders in yellow & blue. But the biggest battle of the game will be between Naveen Kumar and Thalaivas’ defense. The Naveen Express has bagged two Most Valuable Player of the season award in the past and if he could repeat such a performance then they will get five points from the game.
