PKL 10: Telugu Titans coach gives big statement after their 9th loss of the season

Gujarat Giants jumped to the second spot in the points table after the win.
In the 59th match of PKL 10, the Telugu Titans faced tough competition from the Gujarat Giants. The Titans had taken a lead of 5 points in the first half, but in the second half, the team suffered two all-outs and ultimately lost the contest 37-30. Gujarat’s raider Rakesh scored a super-10, while the Telugu Titans’ defense made several mistakes, and their raiders couldn’t deliver any notable performance.
In the post-match press conference, Telugu Titans coach Srinivas Reddy addressed the reason behind his team’s defeat. On the other hand, Gujarat Giants coach Ram Mehar Singh explained that the match got stuck due to Prateek’s mistake.
It becomes difficult to make a comeback after losing several points together: Srinivas Reddy
Telugu Titans coach Srinivas Reddy said, “We had gained a lead of 5 points in the first half. At the beginning of the second half, three of our players were on the mat, one of whom got a self-out and one touch point was also conceded. When multiple points are scored consecutively, it becomes very difficult to come back. This is where the momentum shifted towards Gujarat.”
Srinivas Reddy emphasized the need for young players to gain experience
Telugu Titans head coach stated, “Pawan is our main raider, but the supporting raiders are struggling. When the team is consistently losing, there is pressure on the strike raider. In the game of kabaddi, you need to show action within 30 seconds. Pawan has been playing well this season, but the young players in the team need more experience.”
Ram Mehar Singh attributed the match getting stuck to the mistake in Parteek’s advanced tackle
Gujarat Giants head coach said, “In the last 10 minutes, our strategy was not to repeat mistakes in defense. We have a greater range of raiders, and our defense performed well after halftime. When Parteek attempted two advanced tackles and, on the other side, a super tackle happened, that’s when the match got stuck.”
