A rampaging Ashu Malik (13 points) was the star of the game.

In the 63rd match of PKL 10, U Mumba faced Dabang Delhi, witnessing an intense competition for the first 30 minutes. However, in the final 10 minutes, Delhi players showcased an outstanding performance, securing a one-sided victory with a score of 40-34.

Aamir Mohammad Zafar Danesh from U Mumba displayed a brilliant performance, but couldn’t lead the team to victory. On the other hand, due to Ashu Malik’s Super-10 and exceptional coordination among defenders, Dabang Delhi achieved a significant win.

During the post-match press conference, U Mumba’s coach Gholamreza Mazandarani attributed the loss to poor defensive combinations and timing. Meanwhile, Rambir Singh Khokhar expressed his happiness over his team’s victory.

Coach Gholamreza Mazandarani of U Mumba stated, “Our team lacks not in raiding but in defense. We need to improve our combinations because the timing of defenders has been very poor. We played well defensively against Delhi, but couldn’t maintain control in the final minutes. Our first mistake occurred just before the all-out, where, despite being experienced, Mahender made an error. Similarly, in the last moments, Sombir’s tackle was also careless.”

U Mumba’s captain Surinder Singh said, “In the beginning, as much as our raiders were earning points, the defense was also losing points. Talking about the last two matches, players are not keeping control over themselves, and mistakes happened when they shouldn’t have. At the wrong time, they took the lead, and the opposition defenders already knew that we would go for a bonus. That’s why our raiders were tackled more on crucial occasions.”

After the timeout, it was essential for Ashu Malik to go for the raid – Rambir Singh Khokhar

Dabang Delhi’s coach Rambir Singh Khokhar remarked, “There were a few minutes left in the match, so the timeout allowed the players some rest. After that, Ashu needed to go for the raid, and he didn’t disappoint the team.”
