A loss to Puneri Paltan closed the playoff doors for Tamil Thalaivas this season. Still, they would be eager to win a couple of games and end the season on a high. Sagar, who was playing well this season and became the first defender to score 50 points, was unexpectedly absent from the starting seven. Amirhossein Bastami is seen as an able replacement for Sagar.

The defensive tandem of Sagar and Sahil Gulia is largely responsible for the club’s success.
