Fazel Atrachali became the first player to become a crorepati in PKL 6.

The inaugural season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) was played in 2014. Since then, the league has seen phenomenal growth in its fan base, spectators, participating teams, interesting and innovative rules, prize money, and player salaries. The league has proved to be a massive success in all respects.

Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali became the first player to grab INR 1 crore in the Pro Kabaddi League season 6 auction. Since then, many players have been sold for a price of Rs 1 crore or more. Let’s take a look at the list of players (season-wise) who got a price tag of over INR 1 crore in PKL history.

Season 6

Fazel Atrachali became the first crorepati in PKL 6. However, he was not the most expensive player in the auction. Monu Goyat turned out to be the most expensive in the auction. Haryana Steelers bought him for Rs 1.51 crore. Take a look at the list of crorepatis from the season 6 auction.

Pardeep Narwal became the highest-paid player in the history of PKL in season 8. After spending 5 incredible seasons with the Patna Pirates, Narwal was roped in by another franchise for the first time after his rise to becoming the best raider in PKL history.

Season 9

The Hi-Flyer Pawan Kumar Sehrawat did not take a lot of time and dethroned Pardeep Narwal to become the most expensive player in the PKL history. After a sensational outing for Sehrawat in season 8, the Tamil Thalaivas bought Sehrawat for INR 2.26 crore in the PKL 9 auction.

Season 11

Seven players got bids of more than Rs 1 crore in the Pro Kabaddi League season 11 auction. It was the highest at that time and is the second highest currently.
