Arjun Deshwal appointed as captain of Jaipur Pink Panthers for PKL 11

The star raider performing consistently for the team over the seasons.

Jaipur Pink Panthers announced that star Raider, Arjun Deshwal will lead the Panthers Prowl in the Pro Kabaddi Season 11 (PKL 11).

Having joined the Pink Panthers in Season VIII, Arjun quickly became adored amongst the fans, picking up 268 points in his first season with the franchise and continued making a huge impact in the seasons to follow scoring 296 and 278 points respectively. His performances helped the team lift the trophy in Season IX and as semi-finalists in Season X.

Speaking about his elevation as the captain, Arjun said, “I’m looking forward to another season in the PKL, the team has been training hard and I am looking forward to carrying this team along and hopefully this time I can help lead Jaipur Pink Panthers to their third silverware.”

As the team prepares for the upcoming season, fans can expect the 25-year-old to lead with integrity, determination, and a relentless drive to win. The Pink Panthers are looking forward to a competitive season filled with excitement and achievement and will first be seen in action on the 20th of October against the Bengal Warriors at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.

The Pink Panthers had finished second on the table last year and were looking good to defend their title. However, the Haryana Steelers had other ideas, as they stunned the Jaipur-based franchisee in the semifinal.

In the upcoming season, the raiding department will be led by Arjun Deshwal, who has been among the top two raiders of the league each time for the previous three seasons (i.e. since Jaipur signed him).
