Bengal Warriors released head coach K Baskaran ahead of PKL 11
Baskaran was the head coach of the team for the past two seasons.
Before the start of PKL 11, the Bengal Warriors, champions of the seventh season, have made a significant decision. The franchise has released their head coach, K. Baskaran. Baskaran had been the team’s coach for the last two seasons but was unable to lead the team to a title victory. This is likely why the Bengal Warriors decided to change their head coach ahead of the upcoming season.
K. Baskaran became the team’s coach during the 9th season
Before the start of the 9th season, the Bengal Warriors appointed K. Baskaran as their head coach. However, the team’s performance that season was quite poor. The Bengal team finished 11th in the points table. Out of 22 matches, the team won only 8, lost 11, and 3 matches ended in a tie. The same situation persisted during the 10th season as well. The team once again failed to qualify for the playoffs and finished seventh. The team won only 9 out of 22 matches. Due to the poor performance over the past two seasons, coach Baskaran has now been removed. However, a new head coach has not yet been announced.
K. Baskaran has extensive coaching experience
K. Baskaran has significant experience coaching in PKL. He has previously worked as a coach with several teams. Before the Bengal Warriors, Baskaran was the coach of Jaipur Pink Panthers, Puneri Paltan, and Tamil Thalaivas. In the first season of PKL, he was the coach of Jaipur Pink Panthers, and under his guidance, the team defeated U Mumba to win the title.
Since winning the title in the seventh season, the Bengal Warriors have consistently disappointed and will be looking to bring in a coach who can make them champions once again.
