Tamil Thalaivas vs Bengaluru Bulls: All time Head-to-Head record in Pro Kabaddi

Bulls have the upper hand against Tamil in the Pro Kabaddi League.

In the 127th match of Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11), two teams from the southern part of the country will be seen facing each other. The Bengaluru Bulls will take on Tamil Thalaivas for the second time in PKL 11 for a Sunday night blockbuster. Earlier the Bulls had claimed a 36-32 win over Tamil Thalaivas.

The organizers have termed it as a rivalry week and this match fits the bill not only because of the history between the two sides but also because of the cities they are based in. Two cities with passionate fans across sports in every franchise league have brought the same intensity to the Kabaddi mat.

For the Bengaluru Bulls, none of their auction purchases lived up to expectations. Pardeep Narwal even went pointless in a game which prompted their coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat to call it his worst season in PKL history in the Press Conference.

Ajinkya Pawar has looked good in parts but nowhere close to the way he performed for his previous team, which incidentally is the Tamil Thalaivas. The season six champions will be looking to turn their fortunes around and they will want to start against Thalaivas, against whom they also have a good record.

It all started with a thriller in season five when Rohit Kumar’s Super 10 helped the Bulls beat the Thalaivas by one point. The Thalaivas struck back in a week winning the return fixture. The men in red had the last laugh in the season as they won the third encounter of the season with a comfortable 10-point margin.

The Bulls were unstoppable in season six as they lifted the PKL title for the first time and en route to the title they had a 3-0 clean sweep against their southern rivals. The season seven was no different as the Bulls continued their domination winning both games.

After losing yet another game, the Thalaivas broke the seven-match losing streak by winning the game 42-24. Thanks to a super 10 from Ajinkya Pawar, Thalaivas registered the win and for the Bulls, it was Chandran Ranjit who played the role of a secondary Raider. Incidentally, both have changed the sides and will be looking to win the game on Monday night.

The team from Bengaluru went back to winning ways in the next three games against the men in yellow. But the last game saw the Thalaivas get one back with Narender Kandola outclassing the opposition defense with 14 points. With the Dubki Prince in great form, the Bulls should be aware of the youngster and would want to stop him to get five points for the team.

Tamil Thalaivas vs Bengaluru Bulls: Head-to-Head record:

Matches: 15

Bengaluru Bulls: 12

Tamil Thalaivas: 3

Tie: 0

In the 14 encounters between these two, the Bengaluru Bulls have dominated the Cauvery derby with 11 wins and Thalaivas had the last laugh only on three occasions. While the head-to-head stats are in the favor of the Bulls, the momentum is with Thalaivas and it will be interesting to see who takes the win this time.
