Kabaddi is all about the combination of raiders and defenders. The defensive front plays a huge role in the success of any team, an excellent example of this is the performance of Haryana Steelers last season. With four quality defenders, they broke all barriers to make it to the finals, only to be beaten by another team with even better defense.

With the addition of Mohammadreza Shadloui, the Steelers have put together one of the most formidable defensive units in the league. With the likes of Vinay and Shivam Patare contributing to the offense, the Steelers are a force to reckon with this season. The fact that they occupy the top spot talks about the force they are exerting on others.

They will be seen doing the same on Sunday against struggling Tamil Thalaivas, whose journey has been a season of two halves. In the first five games, they notched up three wins including against defending champions Puneri Paltan, who were on a nine-match winning streak.

But the next four matches did not go well for them as they lost, leaving them in the bottom quarter from the top of the points table.
