Indian Women's Kabaddi team announce for World Cup 2025

This is the second edition of the tournament.
The Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 is scheduled to take place in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 17th to 24th November, featuring 12 teams from across the globe.
This will be the second edition of the tournament. The inaugural edition was held in 2012, where the Indian women’s team emerged victorious after defeating Iran 25–19 in the final.
Interestingly, this will be the first-ever Women’s World Cup to be hosted outside India, as the venue was initially set for Rajgir, then shifted to Hyderabad, and finally relocated to Dhaka.
The Indian Women’s Team has been officially announced for the upcoming tournament, as they prepare to step onto the mat once again to defend their title and aim for yet another World Cup victory.

The squad of the Indian Women’s Team heading to Dhaka for the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup has been officially announced.
Asian Games winning captain Ritu Negi will once again lead the team, with Pushpa Rana serving as the vice-captain. The Asian Kabaddi Championship-winning captain Sonali Shingate also features in the squad, this time as a player.
The rest of the squad includes Pooja Narwal, Bhavna Thakur, Sakshi Sharma, Pooja Kajla, Champa Thakur, Mini Narwal, Ritu Sheoran, Ritu Mitharwal, Sanju Devi, Dhanalakshmi, and Anu Kumari.
The team will be guided by experienced coaches Tejaswini Bai and Kavita Selvaraj, who bring a perfect balance of leadership and strategy to India’s World Cup campaign.

The 2nd edition of the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup will feature 12 teams from across the globe. The defending champions, India, will be looking to retain their crown and once again prove their dominance on the world stage.
On the other hand, Iran, the silver medalists from the previous edition, will aim to go one step further and lift the trophy this time.
The host nation, Bangladesh, will be eager to make the most of their home advantage and create history by winning their first-ever World Cup. Along with them, the other participating teams are Chinese Taipei, Nepal, Thailand, Kenya, Uganda, Zanzibar, Argentina, Poland, and Germany.
Happening after 13 years, this World Cup promises to be a thrilling celebration of women’s kabaddi, with every team determined to etch their name in history and claim the precious World Champions trophy.
