National Kabaddi Championship: Indian Railways crush Haryana to go into semifinals
The tournament moved towards the knockout stage on day four.
Pawan Sehrawat's Indian Railways outperformed Dubki King Pradeep Narwal's Haryana by a big margin of 44-26 in the first quarter-final of the 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championship at Jaipur.
[KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Vikas Kandola was the star raider for Railways as he scored nine raid points and also a super raid while Ravinder Pahal was the best defender for the team. The defending champions beat star-studded Haryana with ease and moved closer towards yet another championship victory.
The home team Rajasthan defeated their worthy opponents Maharashtra with a scoreline of 47 – 34. Kamal Kishore scored a Super 10 while their star player Deepak Hooda performed well in both defence and attack.
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Maharashtra were the favourites in the tournament, However, Rajasthan managed to beat them strategically to achieve a spot in the final four. Services defeated Karnataka 54 – 23 in the third quarter-final of the day as Naveen Kumar excelled yet again for his team with 15 raid points.
The fourth semi-final was played between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to earn a spot in the final four. Bihar started the game on a high note, however, Abhishek Singh's super 10 dashed their hopes of qualifying for the semifinals of the prestigious tournament. Rahul Chaudhary also helped his team with eight crucial raid points.

Jharkhand reached the semi-finals as they defeated their opponents 26 -21 and Haryana also managed to beat the home team Rajasthan with the scoreline of 40-27.
In another quarter-final, Himachal Pradesh crushed Chhattisgarh 32-20 to win the final spot in the semifinals of the tournament. The crowd will witness the semi-finals and final on Friday. The men’s championship will be interesting to see as defending champions will be facing the hosts Rajasthan.
