PKL 11: 3 key players of Dabang Delhi in Pro Kabaddi League season 11

Delhi have strengthened their team at the auctions, going into the eleventh edition of the league.

Dabang Delhi is one of the most consistent teams if we talk about the last half a decade. They have qualified for the playoffs in all five seasons and lifted the trophy once in season 8. An interesting fact to be noted for PKL 11 is that their trophy-winning captain, Joginder Narwal, will be their head coach in the upcoming season, along with their most successful raiders, Naveen Kumar and Ashu Malik being the co-captains.

Dabang Delhi’s squad consists of an incredible raiding force; however, it lacks some experience in the defense. If we talk about the raider’s department, they have the likes of Ashu Malik, Naveen Kumar, Siddharth Desai, and Himanshu Narwal, who have proven themselves to be lethal.

However, in the defense, they might struggle because of the lack of depth in their squad. Only Yogesh, Rinku Narwal, and Ashish are a few players whom they can rely on based on their experience and might try other combinations to start with.

Here are the three key players who can be the game changers for Dabang Delhi, and might have a big hand if they want to lift their second title.

Siddharth Desai

The dynamic raider has been a great asset to all the teams he has been a part of in the past. He has got the experience behind him and also had a good form in the last season. Desai has scored 693 raid points in his PKL career, of which 82 came in season 10. He will be certainly the raider the team will turn to after Ashu Malik and Naveen Kumar.

Ashu Malik

The acting captain of season 10 who led the team beautifully in the absence of Naveen Kumar has once again been opted as the co-captain. Malik did a fabulous job in season 10 as a raider and as a captain as well. And the team will expect nothing less from him in this season.

His combination with his co-captain will be something Dabang Delhi will rely strongly on in the absence of the star power in their defense. Talking about the stats, Malik has scored 468 raid points in his PKL career and was the joint top-scoring raider in season 10 with 276 points in his bag.

Naveen Kumar

Naveen Kumar has been an integral part of Dabang Delhi since his debut in PKL. He has played 91 matches and scored over 1000 raid points. In season 11, Naveen is making his comeback after missing most of the season 10 due to an injury. And that makes him more lethal as he will want to make up for the lost time. Goyat’s comeback will be something to cherish for the team and they will hope the Malik-Goyat duo will give them the edge to excel and pick another trophy in season 11.
