Arjun Deshwal's Lucknow Lions clinch UPKL 2024, beat Sangam Challengers in one-sided final

In the final, Lucknow defeated Sangam Challengers by a huge margin.

The Lucknow Lions won the title of the first season of the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL). In the final match held in Noida, the Lucknow Lions team defeated the Sangam Challengers one-sidedly. The Lucknow Lions recorded a significant victory with a score of 59-33, and the Sangam Challengers team could not compete at all.

The Lucknow Lions displayed excellent performance throughout the tournament. They had PKL star player Arjun Deshwal, which made them favorites even before the tournament began. The team lived up to the fans’ expectations and won the title convincingly. Mohammad Aman was chosen as the Defender of the Tournament, and Rahul Tewatia was selected as the Raider of the Tournament.

The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League began on July 11, and since then, many exciting matches have been played. A total of 8 teams from Uttar Pradesh participated in this league. The teams that participated in the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League were Yamuna Yoddha, Noida Ninjas, Kashi Kings, Awadh Ramdoot, Bridge Stars, Sangam Challengers, Ayodhya Warriors, and Ganga Kings of Mirzapur.

Many famous players participated in the UP Kabaddi League (UPKL). Not only local players but also several well-known players took part in the UP Kabaddi League. Some PKL stars were part of this league. They had showcased their talent in PKL and displayed excellent performance in the UP Kabaddi League as well. Big names like Harendra Kumar, Robin Chaudhary, Ashu Singh, Sahul Kumar, and Arjun Deshwal were part of this league.

The UP Kabaddi League is a platform to give local talent a stage. Preference was given to local players here. For those young players who emerged from villages and had not yet received an opportunity on a big stage, the UP Kabaddi League provided a significant platform.
