National Games 2025: Pawan Sehrawat vs Arjun Deshwal will clash in final of men's Kabaddi tournament

The two star raiders of the PKL are all set to clash in the men’s Kabaddi final at the National Games 2025.

Arjun Deshwal produced a masterclass in the final minute to steal the final spot from the defending champions Services in the semifinal of the National Games 2025. The 38th edition of the National Games has been happening in Uttarakhand with Yogasthali Khel Parisar, Roshanabad Stadium, and Hardiwar hosting the Kabaddi games saw two brilliant semifinal contests.

The first semifinal saw a star-studded Services take on Arjun Deshwal’s Uttar Pradesh. It was a closely fought contest with players from both sides producing brilliant moves. Pro Kabaddi League winners Rahul Sethpal and Jaideep Dahiya led the services and performed super tackles in the first half to give them a decisive lead.

With the score at 38-38, the game went into the final couple of minutes with Services executing an all-out and taking the lead. Arjun Deshwal then produced a two-point raid to take them to the lead with 28 seconds remaining. Devank Dalal leveled the scores as he enticed an error from Sahul Kumar. It was down to the final raid and Arjun took off into the opposition mat.

He didn’t take much time as he executed a toe touch against Rahul Sethpal to take the game. After the match, there was a heated argument with Sethpal and company and he refused to shake hands with the opposition team. The other semifinal was a one-sided affair with Pawan Sehrawat-led Chandigarh thrashing Senior National Champions Haryana.

It was Haryana who opened the scoring and it turned out to be the only time they had the lead as Chandigarh scored points in a heap. Ashu Malik tried his hand to bring Haryana back into the game but the duo of Vishal Bharadwaj and Gurdeep Sangwan brought the downfall of Ashu. Chandigarh won the game 52-37.

The final will see a battle of two of the top raiders in the country, Arjun Deshwal and Pawan Sehrawat fighting to get the National Championship.

Himachal will take on Haryana in Women’s Kabaddi final
