PKL 11 Auction: Full list of all sold players

A total of 118 players were sold in the two-day PKL 11 auction.

This Independence Day, Kabaddi stars and fans were hooked to their seats, as the auction for the Pro Kabaddi League season 11 were held in Mumbai, on Thursday and Friday.

Both days saw all the 12 franchisees extremely busy at their tables, as a total of 118 players either returned to their old teams or found new destinations. With the teams having only retained 88 players (including 22 Elite Retained Players) in total, there were many big names who went under the hammer. As a result, we got to see teams breaking the bank on a number of occasions.

Eight players earned bids higher than one crore—the highest ever at a PKL auction.

The busiest team were the Gujarat Giants, with them having bought 15 players. On the other hand, the Tamil Thalaivas bought the least number of players: four.

However, the Chennai-based team had the most expensive buy of the auctions included in their squad- raider Sachin Tanwar, at a mind-boggling price of Rs 2.15 Crores.

Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, who played a crucial role in Puneri Paltan’s title winning campaign in the last edition, was the most expensive overseas buy for the second time running. Haryana Steelers further strengthened their already formidable defence, by securing the services of the young Iranian star at Rs 2.07 Crores.

Sunil Kumar broke his own record of being the most expensive Indian defender, after being signed by U Mumba at a price of Rs. 1.015 Crores.

Day 1 saw the Category A (base price Rs 30 lakhs) and Category B (base price Rs 20 lakhs) players being presented, while Day 2 saw intense bidding for the Category C (base price Rs. 13 lakhs) and Category D (base price Rs 9 lakhs) players, apart from a few unsold players from day 1.
