A blockbuster of a contest awaits on a Wednesday evening as the defending champions Puneri Paltan will take on Tamil Thalaivas in the 11th match of season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11). Both teams have got off to a winning start with Paltan winning against Haryana Steelers and Patna Pirates, while Thalaivas beat their southern rivals Telugu Titans.

Paltan and the Thalaivas had the same strategy of retaining their core and bought players to fill in the slots. Having retained their defensive core in PKL 11, Thalaivas wanted to get a quality raider in the Auction. They spent big bucks to get Sachin Tanwar. The 25-year-old made his debut with a super-10 and his raiding in tandem with Narender has been a joy to watch. Pune has been flawless in PKL 11 with two comfortable victories.

Head-to-Head

Matches – 11

Tamil Thalaivas – 3

Puneri Paltan – 6

Tie – 2

On the other hand, Gujarat Giants are set to take on U Mumba in the twelfth match of Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 (PKL 11) , at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. The PKL 11 match is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 23rd at 9:00 pm, i.e. it will be the second match of the doubleheader.

The Giants had a winning start to their PKL 11 campaign, defeating the Bengaluru Bulls 36-32. Interestingly, their star players Guman Singh, Rakesh and skipper Neeraj Kumar had a quiet night. However, the likes of Sombir, Parteek Dahiya and Himanshu Singh stepped up to make sure that their team started the tournament on a bright note.

On the other hand, U Mumba made a flurry of silly errors, which eventually led to them going down 28-36 against Dabang Delhi in their PKL 11. In their case too, the big signings in the form of skipper Sunil Kumar, Parvesh Bhainswal and Manjeet failed to make an impact. What would have pleased them though would be the performances of two youngsters: Amirmohammad Zafardanesh and debutant Ajit Chouhan.

Head-to-Head

Matches: 14

Gujarat Giants: 9

U Mumba: 4

Tie: 1
