Fazel Atrachali achieved 500 tackle points in 173 games.

Bengal Warriorz captain Fazel Atrachali made history as the first player in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) to reach the 500 tackle points milestone. Known as the “Sultan of Kabaddi,” the veteran Iranian defender achieved this big feat in a thrilling PKL 11 match against the Puneri Paltan.

With an impressive tackle on Mohit Goyat, Fazel crossed the milestone with the same intensity that has defined his career. Fazel has reached the historic milestone in just 173 games.

Leading the league’s leaderboard with 500 tackle points, Fazel Atrachali is well ahead of Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Surjeet Singh, who follows in second place with 413 points, and Manjeet Chhillar, who stands third with 391 points.

Fazel Atrachali’s journey in PKL

Fazel Atrachali’s PKL journey started in Season 2 with U Mumba, where he quickly made an impact, scoring 12 points in just five games. He then played a pivotal role for U Mumba in Season 3, earning 32 tackle points as his presence on the mat grew. By Season 4, he had moved to Patna Pirates, where he scored 52 tackle points, leading his team to the title and winning the Best Defender Award.

After a successful stint with the Pirates, Fazel joined Gujarat Giants in Season 5, racking up 57 tackle points and taking the team to the finals. Returning to U Mumba in Seasons 6 and 7, he captained the side and scored over 80 tackle points each season, further cementing his reputation as a stalwart in kabaddi.

In Season 8, Fazel continued his standout performances with U Mumba, notching 51 tackle points and delivering two High-5s. His move to Puneri Paltan in the following season brought another stellar campaign, with 65 tackle points and three High-5s.

In Season 10, he joined Gujarat Giants, where he again excelled with 62 tackle points, four Super Tackles, and three High-5s. In PKL 11, Fazel joined Bengal Warriorz for 50 lakhs in the auction.
