Bulls will be eying for a comeback against Gujarat in their second match.

Pro Kabaddi League season 11 (PKL 11) has begun with some exciting encounters, but Bengaluru Bulls didn’t have much to celebrate after they lost against Telugu Titans by 37-29 in their first match. The Bulls will be playing their second match of the season against the Gujarat Giants on 20th October. It will be the opening game of the season for the Giants.

On one hand, where the Bulls will be looking for a comeback in Sunday’s game, the Giants will be looking to start well and get their combinations correct. In the last season, the Gujarat Giants had a great run and ended at 4th position after the league matches, whereas Bengaluru Bulls struggled and finished in the 8th position.

Bulls have been one of the consistent teams in the PKL history and they will look to get back on track this season as early as possible, whereas the Giants will be looking to clinch the title under the guidance of the coach, Ram Mehar Singh. Let us have a look at the squads of both these teams.

Gujarat Giants vs Bengaluru Bulls: Head-to-Head

Bengaluru Bulls have dominated most of the teams in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League. However, the Giants who entered the world of PKL much later, the story is somewhat different. In the 13 matches played between these sides, the Gujarat Giants have won 7 matches, whereas the Bulls have only succeeded in winning 5. One match resulted in a tie.

The results show that the Giants have been one of the toughest competitors to the Bulls. Moreover, when the Bulls are coming into the game after a defeat against Titans, whom they have dominated throughout the PKL history, it becomes tougher. However, Randhir Singh Sehrawat’s boys have made their way back before and can do so now as well. But who are the players who will have to shoulder the responsibility in both the teams? Let’s find out.

Players to watch out for

Bengaluru Bulls

Bengaluru Bulls look astounding in the raiding department on paper. But in match 1 of season 11, they did not have a good time. The likes of Pardeep Narwal, Ajinkya Pawar, Sushil, Jai Bhagwan, and Jatin were able to score only 13 raid points in the match. Interestingly, Pawar was only on the mat for a few minutes in the beginning and was then substituted. It will be interesting to see if the costliest player of the team will start today in the starting 7 or not.

Despite a poor start, the team will still count on their raiders and Pardeep Narwal and Ajinkya Pawar will be the raiders to watch out for. On the other hand, the Bulls had a decent time with their defenders. In their upcoming battle, Surinder Dehal, Saurabh Nandal, and Nitin Rawal’s combination would be something interesting to look as well.

Gujarat Giants

Getting out on the mat for the first time in season 11, there will certainly be nerves in play. But the big players get over it as soon as possible and start their work. In Gujarat Giants we can expect exactly that. The Giants have two spectacular raiders, Guman Singh and Parteek Dahiya in their squad who will have the limelight. On the other hand, they also have one of the better all-rounders, Mohammad Nabibaksh in their squad.

All these players are exceptional individually. But it will be important to see how their defence works and sync themselves in this team. And Vahid RezaEimehr will certainly have a big role in that.

Starting 7

Bengaluru Bulls: Pardeep Narwal, Ajinkya Pawar, Parteek, Surinder Dehal, Saurabh Nandal, Nitin Rawal

Gujarat Giants: Guman Singh, Rakesh, Parteek Dahiya, Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh, Sombir, Neeraj Kumar, Harsh Mahesh Lad
