PKL 11: Jaipur Pink Panthers keep playoffs hopes alive with win over Gujarat Giants

Jaipur Pinks Panthers are now in sixth place in the PKL 11 table.
Jaipur Pink Panthers secured a crucial win in the race for the Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) playoffs as they defeated Gujarat Giants 42-29 in Match 103 at the Badminton Hall in Balewadi Stadium on Tuesday.
Raid Machine and team skipper Arjun Deshwal was their main aggressor once again, scoring 13 points, while Neeraj Narwal’s eight points and Ankush Rathee’s High 5 were equally vital in this PKL 11 victory.
A fast-paced start to the PKL 11 clash saw the Jaipur Pink Panthers take an early lead over the Gujarat Giants. In the initial exchanges, Neeraj Narwal successfully tackled Mohammad Nabibakhsh, while Neeraj Kumar missed a Super Tackle opportunity against Arjun Deshwal, the Raid Machine. This sequence led to the first ALL OUT inflicted on the Gujarat Giants after Rohit failed to stop Neeraj Narwal.

This set the tone for the PKL 11 match as the Jaipur Pink Panthers maintained complete control over their opponents. Ankush Rathee added to the dominance with a bold tackle on Rakesh. While the Gujarat Giants managed some successful raids through bonus points, the Panthers inflicted a second ALL OUT towards the end of the first half, with the score reading 27-16 in favour of the two-time PKL champions.
The script of this PKL 11 contest stayed the same in the second half. Although Guman Singh and Rakesh led the raiders for the Gujarat Giants, their defence struggled to contain Arjun Deshwal and Neeraj Narwal. Guman Singh, nicknamed ‘Gunman,’ executed a brilliant Super Raid that eliminated Ankush Rathee, Surjeet Singh, and Abhishek KS. However, it was not enough as the Jaipur Pink Panthers continued to dominate in this PKL 11 showdown.
Arjun Deshwal completed a well-deserved Super 10, while Ankush Rathee registered his second High 5 of the PKL 11 season. For the Gujarat Giants, Guman Singh and Rakesh each scored nine points, but their efforts fell short. The Jaipur Pink Panthers secured an impressive 13-point win over the Gujarat Giants, climbing to sixth place in the PKL 11 standings and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
