PKL 11: Gujarat Giants claim thrilling win over mighty Telugu Titans in Pro Kabaddi 2024
Gujarat Giants are still at the 11th spot in the PKL 11 points table.
Gujarat Giants secured their third victory of Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) with a nail-biting 31-28 win over Telugu Titans at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Saturday. Parteek Dahiya delivered his second Super 10 in as many games, outshining Vijay Malik’s stellar 15-point performance in a closely fought encounter.
The raiders from both sides wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in the opening exchanges of the PKL 11 clash. While the defensive units tried to maintain balance, Parteek Dahiya showcased his brilliance with the first Do-or-Die Raid six minutes into the game. He followed it up with another successful raid, giving Gujarat Giants an early edge.

Guman Singh added to the momentum with a superb two-point raid, extending the Giants’ lead. As Guman and Parteek continued their raiding exploits, Telugu Titans relied heavily on Vijay Malik. Malik, often left as the lone man on the mat, displayed tremendous grit. He bagged two raid points to revive teammates and completed his Super 10 in the first half, keeping his team in the hunt.
Ashish Narwal turned the tide with a remarkable Super Raid, helping the Titans edge ahead. They ended the half with a slender 17-15 lead, despite their defenders managing just one tackle point.
In the second half of PKL 11 action, Gujarat Giants came roaring back. Parteek Dahiya executed a crucial two-point raid, leading to an ALL OUT on the Titans and reclaiming the lead for his side. Although the Telugu Titans’ defence initially struggled, they regrouped to keep their team within striking distance.
Vijay Malik continued his standout performance with a successful Do-or-Die Raid, cutting the Giants’ lead to just two points as the clock ticked down. Sensing the pressure, Gujarat Giants strategically slowed the pace of the game. Parteek Dahiya, completing his Super 10, ensured the Giants held onto their narrow one-point lead with under five minutes left.
Telugu Titans, however, refused to back down. Ajit Pawar’s timely tackle during a Do-or-Die Raid levelled the scores at 26 apiece, setting up a grandstand finish to the PKL 11 encounter.
With less than two minutes remaining, Gujarat Giants executed a perfectly timed Super Tackle on Vijay Malik, reclaiming a two-point advantage. Although the Titans quickly narrowed it to a one-point game, the Giants held their nerve. In the final raid, Himanshu Singh stepped up for Gujarat Giants, producing a match-winning Super Tackle to seal a 31-28 victory in this enthralling PKL 11 contest.
