PKL 11: Gujarat Giants vs U Mumba Predicted 7, team news, head-to-head & free live stream
Both teams had contrasting starts to the PKL 11.
The Gujarat Giants are set to take on U Mumba in the twelfth match of Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 (PKL 11) , at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. The PKL 11 match is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 23rd at 9:00 pm, i.e. it will be the second match of the doubleheader.
The Giants had a winning start to their PKL 11 campaign, defeating the Bengaluru Bulls 36-32. Interestingly, their star players Guman Singh, Rakesh and skipper Neeraj Kumar had a quiet night. However, the likes of Sombir, Parteek Dahiya and Himanshu Singh stepped up to make sure that their team started the tournament on a bright note.
On the other hand, U Mumba made a flurry of silly errors, which eventually led to them going down 28-36 against Dabang Delhi in their PKL 11. In their case too, the big signings in the form of skipper Sunil Kumar, Parvesh Bhainswal and Manjeet failed to make an impact. What would have pleased them though would be the performances of two youngsters: Amirmohammad Zafardanesh and debutant Ajit Chouhan.

While Gujarat will be hoping to maintain the momentum in PKL 11, they gained in the first match, Mumba would be desperately wanting to open their account in the points tally.

Players to watch out for:
Guman Singh (Gujarat Giants)
Guman Singh was bought at a whopping price of Rs. 1.97 Cr at the PKL 11 auction. Having scored just six points in the team’s opening clash, the left-raider would be looking to have a bigger impact in the upcoming match, before the pressure caused by the price tag starts weighing him down further.
Guman would know a thing or two about breaking down the U Mumba defence. He not only plied his trade for the Men in Orange and Black in the last two seasons but also emerged as their top scorer in both campaigns.
Sunil Kumar (U Mumba)
Skipper Sunil Kumar, who is one of the calmest heads in the league, had a rare off-day against Delhi in PKL 11. The right cover failed to score a single tackle point and was sent to the bench four times. He would incidentally be up against the side where his PKL career had taken flight in PKL 5, and where he and Parvesh Bhainswal had gone on to become one of the most decorated cover pairings in PKL history.
Sunil, who had broken his own record at the PKL auctions as the most expensive Indian defender ever, would be looking to make a mark for his new team in their second match of the competition.
