PKL 11: Gujarat Giants vs UP Yoddhas Predicted 7, team news, head-to-head & free live stream
Earlier in PKL 11, UP Yoddhas defeated Gujarat Giants.
Gujarat Giants will face UP Yoddhas in match 121 of the Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune.
Gujarat Giants have 35 points after 19 matches with five wins, twelve losses, and two ties. They squandered a huge lead, losing to Telugu Titans 32-36 in their previous match. The two-time runners-up can only finish as high as the ninth position. With pride at stake, the team will want to secure wins in their remaining three games and give their fans a reason to smile.
On the other hand, UP Yoddhas are flying high with 69 points in 20 matches. They have won eleven matches and lost six, with three games ending in ties. They will be coming in with a lot of confidence, having comprehensively defeated table toppers Haryana Steelers 31-24 in their last game.
When the two sides had met earlier this season, the Yoddhas had handed the Giants a 35-29 defeat.

Players to watch out for:
Gagan Gowda (UP Yoddhas)
Surender Gill and Bharat Hooda were unable to maintain their form after a good start, which prompted coach Jasveer Singh to try Plan B, involving Gagan Gowda and Bhavani Rajput as UP Yoddhas‘ main raiders. Both have delivered, with the former especially wreaking havoc. Gagan has scored 112 raid points in 15 matches, with 5 Super 10s.
Not long ago, Gagan had a stunning phase, where he scored 54 raid points in four matches. However, he couldn’t make a big impact in the last two matches. Since we are at the business end of the league, every match is crucial. The lanky raider will be looking to regain his confidence and set fire to the mat again.
Rakesh (Gujarat Giants)
Rakesh wasn’t able to replicate his consistency from the previous seasons in this edition. As a result, he was benched after the first few matches. However, Parteek’s injury meant that coach Ram Mehar Singh decided to bring Rakesh back into the starting VII. The raider has done well ever since and has formed a potent raiding duo with Guman Singh, their best raider of the season.
While Rakesh cumulatively has only 71 points in 17 matches, his figures in the last three matches have been much better, scoring 28 points. This shows that he is slowly finding his rhythm and the raider would want to use that momentum to end a disappointing season on a high.
Predicted Starting 7:
Gujarat Giants:
Guman Singh, Rakesh, Jitender Yadav, Manuj, Neeraj Kumar, Mohit, Rohit.
UP Yoddhas:
Gagan Gowda, Bhavani Rajput, Bharat Hooda, Hitesh, Ashu Singh, Mahender Singh, Sumit.
Head-to-Head
