Haryana Steelers have once again expressed confidence in Jaideep Dahiya.

The eleventh edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) is knocking at the door as India gears up to host its premier Kabaddi championship. Twelve teams from all across the nation will go up against each other to get their hands on the ultimate prize. The opening game will witness Telugu Titans host the Bengaluru Bulls at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.

Last edition’s runners-up Haryana Steelers will look to bounce back from the defeat in the final and finally go the distance this season. The Steelers will begin their campaign with a clash against Puneri Paltan on October 19. They have let go of their former skipper Mohit Nandal ahead of PKL 11 due to some unavoidable circumstances. Nandal was not just a good captain but was also one of the best defenders in the league last season.

Haryana Steelers announce new leadership duo

After letting go of Mohit Nandal, who led the team along with Jaideep last season. The Steelers have announced their new leadership duo for the eleventh edition of PKL. Jaideep Dahiya will lead the side once again in the upcoming season while Rahul Sethpal will be the vice-captain for the Steelers.

About Jaideep Dahiya and Rahul Sethpal

Jaideep Dahiya is among the best defenders that the league has ever witnessed. He is known for his rigidity and composure at the left-back position. He bagged 61 tackle points last season, the second-highest for the Steelers and the ninth-best in the league. Dahiya has been a consistent performer for the Steelers and has played a huge role in their success over the past three seasons.

Rahul Sethpal has made a name for himself for his ability to execute super tackles. He performs well in high-pressure situations and has earned a lot of points for his side in the process. The 27-year-old defender managed to pull off 15 super tackles, the highest by any defender in the league last season. Moreover, he recorded his best-ever numbers in the league last season with 76 points and a tackle success rate of 66%.
