The Jaipur Pink Panthers begin their campaign on October 20, against the Bengal Warriorz.

Two superstars of the game of kabaddi will take the field, when the Jaipur Pink Panthers start their Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 campaign against the Bengal Warriorz on October 20 in Hyderabad. While the point of focus for both teams will be to have a winning start, everyone will also have their eyes on whether it’s Jaipur’s Arjun Deshwal or Bengal’s Maninder Singh who comes out triumphs in the mini-battle between the two raiders.

The Pro Kabaddi League is being held in a cluster caravan format this time, with only three cities namely Hyderabad, Noida, and Pune hosting the league stage matches. Each day consists of a double header, with only two rest days across the duration of the league stage.

In their second match, the two-time champions will play the home team on October 22. After a total of seven fixtures in Hyderabad, which culminates with a clash against the Patna Pirates on November 8, the team will move to Noida.

They will start the second on 12th November, when they go up against the Bengaluru Bulls. They will have their first date with the defending champions Puneri Paltan five days later. They play six more matches in the Northern Indian city, which a fixture against the home team UP Yoddhas on November 28 and the Telugu Titans on November 30, right at the end of the leg.

They will then go up against their oldest rivals, U Mumba, on December 5, which will be the first match for the seasons 2 and 9 champions in the Pune leg. The final match of the league stage for the Pink Panthers will be against the Dabang Delhi on December 21.

Interestingly half of the team’s matches begin at 8:00 PM, while the remaining eleven matches constitute the second match of the double header on the respective days. Each team will play a total of 22 matches. The top two teams will qualify for the semifinals directly, while the next four teams will play the Eliminators to decide the remaining two semifinalists.

Last season, the Jaipur-based franchisee finished second in the table with 92 points. Having won the title in the previous edition, they were on track to defend it. However, Haryana Steelers stunned them in the semifinal and ended their dreams.

The Pink Panthers released the likes of Rahul Chaudhary, V Ajith Kumar and Bhavani Rajput, and secured the services of a number of well-known raiders in the form of Vikash Kandola, Shrikant Jadhav and Neeraj Narwal (who is an all-rounder). Arjun Deshwal, who has been present in the top two in the list of raiders with most raid points during all his three seasons at Jaipur, will thus have a lot of support this time.

As for the defence, the team replaced Sunil Kumar with a like-for-like experienced player in the right cover position, in the form of Surjeet Singh. Iranian Reza Mirbagheri will continue to be the left cover, while Ankush Rathee who was the Best Defender of season 9, will play a massive role as the left corner. One of Arpit Saroha or Lucky Sharma will get a chance to be the right corner.
