The league will be played for nearly three months.

The season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) is set to begin from the 18th of October. According to Khel Now sources, the league will begin in the third week of October right after the completion of the India – Bangladesh T20I series to avoid conflict in broadcasting hours. The league with 12 teams will last for three months with the finals by the 4th or 5th of January.

The league wanted to move to its original window of July – September for this season. However, contract negotiations between the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and Mashal Sports got delayed which halted the plan. It is not the first time the league tried to bring back the league, as they did in PKL 10 as well. But the dates clashed with the Asian Games where all Kabaddi Players will be representing their nation.

Hence they had to stick with the November – February window. Last season saw the league return to its caravan format as teams traveled to the cities of all the 12 teams which enthralled the fans. It will be the same this year as well having missed PKL 8 and PKL 9 due to COVID travel restrictions. The fans are eager to get started for this season of PKL.

The PKL 11 auction saw multiple personnel changes with Pardeep Narwal going back to Bengaluru after nine years. Pawan Sehrawat and Maninder Singh were retained by Telugu Titans and Bengal Warriorz using FBM card. Sachin Tanwar became the most expensive player in the PKL 11 auction with 2.15 cr to Tamil Thalaivas. With new heroes in their new capes, it’s time for Khel Kabaddi.
