On Moein Shafaghi’s performance

Himanshu was the star of the evening with a stellar Super 10, finishing with 13 points. Moein Shafaghi also impressed, crossing the 100-raid-point milestone for the season, as the Thalaivas registered their eighth win.

“Moein did play really well this season, he would have given a better performance if he had started from the beginning of the season. Our raiders Sachin and Narender’s performances were a little down, with Narender injured. Moein has played really well in his place, ” said Tamil Thalaivas’ coach.

The first half was a closely contested affair, with both teams relying on their defences. Moein Shafaghi and Sushil kept the scoreboard ticking for their respective sides, while Abhishek Manokaran’s Super Tackle helped the Thalaivas edge ahead 14-13 at halftime.

On Tamil Thalaivas’ recent performance

In the second half, Tamil Thalaivas found their rhythm. Himanshu and Shafaghi combined brilliantly, while Amir Hossein Bastami’s crucial tackle helped inflict an ALL OUT, extending their lead. Despite Sushil’s spirited performance, which included a Super 10, the Bengaluru Bulls couldn’t bridge the gap. With another ALL OUT late in the game, Tamil Thalaivas sealed the contest, showcasing their dominance in PKL 11.

“Our team has been playing really well for two matches now, so they will play really well the match against Puneri Paltan as well, ” he added.

On Bengaluru Bull’s last match and Pardeep Narwal’s 1800 points in PKL

As for the Bengaluru Bulls, their losing streak continued. Despite good performances from captain Pardeep Narwal and Nitin Rawal in the defence, the team was the first to get eliminated from the PKL 11 race. They will now go on to facing UP Yoddhas in the final match of PKL 11.

“My performance was good but the team was not doing well that is what is making me sad, ” said star defender Nitin Rawal.

This is the story of all matches- we start well, but make mistakes later that cost us. The team gets the lead and then the defense becomes too aggressive making the mistakes” said Pardeep Narwal.

“We think of winning all the matches, so we want to win that as well. I am only five points away from the 1800 points, so I want to achieve that in the next match as well, ” he added.
