On facing Tamil Thalaivas next in PKL 11

Just before halftime, Mahender Singh’s key tackle on Rakesh led to an ALL-OUT on the Gujarat Giants, giving UP Yoddhas a much-needed advantage. They went into the break leading 19-17. Gujarat Giants will now go on to face Tamil Thailavs on October 30th.

Speaking on the same, the coach reflected, “If my team plays well, we can win any match. So I am not concerned about who is coming off a win. Anything can change on the mat. Sachin is a good player, Narender too but if my team plays well they can win. Like Sombir played so well before but he almost cost us the match yesterday.”

“I have played with Sachin for four seasons, I know all about him. He is a speedy raider so we will need to control his speed if we need to win the match,” added Captain Neeraj.

In the second half, the UP Yoddhas focused on holding their lead while the Gujarat Giants pressed hard to close the gap.

Rakesh continued his offensive efforts for the Giants, with captain Neeraj Kumar and Guman Singh providing critical support. But as the clock ticked past the 30-minute mark, UP Yoddhas widened their lead to 5 points, creating some breathing room.

On facing Haryana Steelers next in PKL 11

UP Yoddhas will now face last season’s runners-up Haryana Steeler on October 30, in PKL 11. Speaking on the upcoming game, the coach said, “We might be in second now, but it’s just the start. Haryana is a good team, and their covers are very good. We have to look out for all the players to win the match. We have to see the mistakes we made despite the win and have to rectify them.”
