PKL 11: Enjoying match is more important than winning, says Telugu Titans captain Pawan Sehrawat
Telugu Titans have now won three consecutive matches in PKL 11.
The Telugu Titans secured their third consecutive victory in Pro Kabaddi League 11 (PKL 11) after a nail-biting clash against the Tamil Thalaivas in the Southern Derby.
Speaking to the media, Telugu’s captain, Pawan Sehrawat, and coach, Krishan Kumar Hooda, followed by Tamil’s coach, Dharmaraj Cheralathan, and captain, Sahil Gulia shared their thoughts on the PKL 11 match.
Led by Pawan Sehrawat’s 12 points, along with crucial contributions from Ashish Narwal and Vijay Malik, they managed to clinch the win despite Sachin Tanwar’s impressive 17-point effort for the Tamil Thalaivas.

On Pawan Sehrawat’s performance in the PKL 11 match
In this intense PKL 11 encounter, both teams started cautiously, with early exchanges between Ashish Narwal and Narender Kandola setting the pace. The turning point came when Pawan Sehrawat, the most expensive player in PKL history, took control to inflict an ALL OUT on the Tamil Thalaivas, giving the Telugu Titans a four-point lead.
“It was a great match, I enjoyed it a lot. Honestly, for last few matches, I am focusing on enjoying the match rather than just taking the pressure of winning it, and it has been really good,” said Pawan Sehrawat.
Sachin Tanwar was quick to respond, executing a Super Raid to narrow the gap to two points. However, Pawan Sehrawat and Ashish Narwal continued to dominate, collectively racking up 10 touchpoints by halftime, with the Titans leading 20-17.
The Tamil Thalaivas fought back in the second half of this PKL 11 showdown. Sachin Tanwar reached his milestone of 1000 raid points and completed his Super 10, momentarily putting his team in the lead. An ALL-OUT by the Thalaivas evened the stakes, but Ashish Narwal kept the Titans in contention, levelling the score at 25-25.

The thrilling PKL 11 clash saw Pawan Sehrawat stepping up again with a Super Raid to complete his Super 10, giving the Telugu Titans a three-point edge. Sachin Tanwar answered with a two-point raid, maintaining the pressure in this high-octane battle.
As the match came down to the wire, it was Ankit’s brilliant tackle on Sachin Tanwar that sealed the deal for the Telugu Titans, handing them a hard-fought victory in PKL 11’s Southern Derby.
“We will have to look at things and make a few important changes before we play our next match, ” concluded the Tamil Thalaivas coach.
