Dabang Delhi continued their impressive form in Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11), extending their unbeaten run to six games with a commanding 35-21 win over Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Noida Indoor Stadium.
Delhi’s captain Ashu Malik and coach Joginder Narwal followed by Jaipur Pink Panthers’ captain Arjun and Assistant Coach shared their views on the PKL 11 match.
Ashu Malik led the charge with 9 points, while Naveen Kumar and Yogesh, who achieved a crucial Hi-5, provided solid support in this exciting PKL 11 clash.
“We are so happy that Naveen is back. It is always good to have a senior player back on the mat, especially when he is someone like Naveen Kumar. I think all the kabaddi fans are extremely happy that he is back on the mat, ” said Delhi coach Joginder Narwal.
On Naveen’s impact on the team
The match began with both teams adopting a cautious approach in PKL 11. Ashu Malik and Arjun Deshwal opened the scoring for their respective sides, but it was Jaipur who initially edged ahead, thanks to their defence. Naveen Kumar kept Dabang Delhi in contention, while Yogesh’s Super Tackle on Neeraj Narwal helped the team level the scores in this thrilling PKL 11 encounter.
“Naveen’s return has helped Ashu Malik a lot too. Now he will not have to take the captaincy burden all by himself and together they can perform even better, ” the coach added.
Ashu Malik’s brilliance on a Do-or-Die Raid shifted the momentum, leading to an ALL OUT for Jaipur, giving Delhi a 17-9 lead at halftime. In the second half of this PKL 11 battle, Delhi’s dominance continued with another ALL OUT, extending their lead to fourteen points.
On bitter loss against Delhi
Although Jaipur Pink Panthers‘ Arjun Deshwal attempted a fightback, Delhi’s disciplined defence ensured there was no comeback. Yogesh’s Hi-5 capped off an excellent performance, sealing a comprehensive fourteen-point victory for Dabang Delhi K.C. in PKL 11 as they showcased their title ambitions in style.
“Today was a bad day. It was like bad luck. So we will have to rectify things and come back the next day,” concluded Arjun Deshwal.
